Moving to a new city can be exciting, but also difficult. You won’t know where anything is and the familiarity that you had with your former home will have vanished. It’s much easier to use public transportation to get around a city, rather than drive, when you first arrive there. Find out what the most efficient methods of public transit are and use them whenever you have to get from point A to point B.

Not every area of the city will be safe, so make sure that you avoid the rougher parts of town. You can read up on the most dangerous parts of the city online or simply ask some locals about places that you should avoid, especially after dark.

Food that Promotes Growth in Children

For moms, do you really follow what’s listed on the food pyramid, you know the food group guide, when you prepare food for your family? I don’t do that but at least I know what are the nutritious food to give my kids. When I prepare meat, fish and veggie dishes I make sure that it’s their favorite and easy to cook. Their favorite dishes lately are Pork Sinigang, fried fish, and mussels.

If I will refer at the food guide, their favorite food falls on the protein group of the food pyramid, which promotes growth. Aside from genes from their Dad’s side, now I have this food group to thank for their height. 🙂

In the US, I’ve read that parents who have problems with their children’s size seek out medical help to address the problem. Some doctors, according to the website, prescribe human growth hormone for children that “appear to be growing more slowly than normal”.

I’m not sure if I will allow my kids to take growth hormone. I think it’s best if I will stick to giving them proper nourishment than depend on artificial growth enhancer.
